Domaine régional Solvay - Château de la Hulpe

Château d'Hélécine
The Provincial Park is situated on the site of the ancient abbey of the "Prémontrés" of Heylissem founded in 1129. The 18th century castle, turned into a seminar centre with accommodation, provides a large number of meeting rooms, ballrooms and a majestic domed hall for receptions. The 28 hectare park contains a nature reserve, a huge sun clock and a 19th century ice-house, 3 fish ponds. Available : tennis, horseriding, fishing, bowls, minigolf, playing fields, barbecue. Snack bar. Have a taste of beer of the abbey of Heylissem. Arboretum, bio-pond. Accessible to people with reduced mobility. Take the path along the three fishing ponds. Discover the magnificent landscape that unfolds before you as well as the geese, ducks and swans along the way. Follow the small path to the goat pen. A little further along, near the barbecues, deer and their young rest under the shelter of the trees. There isn’t a sound to heard... Fondation Folon
Reservations are only required for activities, workshops and visits led by a Foundation animator. 20 minutes south of Brussels, in the wonderful Solvay park, the Ferme du Château de La Hulpe houses the Fondation Folon. It presents more than forty years of creation, in a lively and original scenography imagined by the Belgian artist, Jean-Michel Folon (1934-2005). He opens the book of his life to us.
